TURN CHORES INTO A VIDEO GAME! The Chore App uses contemporary game mechanics that progress based on real-world chores. The top child psychologists agree that positive experiences, progression, and rewards are more effective than punishment, or negative consequences for guiding children’s behavior (it’s actually better for adults as well). Not only that, but using these three pillars does not diminish the creation of new habits, they enhance it.
How it works
The Chore App uses a series of familiar video game experiences to engage children. These mechanics encourage kids to keep coming back and to save up for both in-game and real-world rewards. For parents, The Chore App automates chore distribution using an algorithm that predicts when chores need to be done based on their frequency. Parents can always control and assign chores, but if they’re too busy, or if they get distracted and forget, their kids will always have chores to do.
